James (Jim) Vogt was born in 1950 and raised on a wheat and cattle farm in Western Oklahoma near the small town of Corn. He earned degrees in accounting and political science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1972. He graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1975 and was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1975. Jim started as a legal intern with the firm in 1974 and is now the senior partner in the firm.
Jim's legal career has primarily been the representation of creditors in commercial litigation, commercial collections and business bankruptcies. Jim has been board certified in the areas of creditor's rights and business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification since 1994. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Certification. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America.
Jim has received an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell. He has been named an Oklahoma Super Lawyer every year since 2006 and also named in Best Lawyers in America for many years in the areas of creditor's rights and bankruptcy.
Jim has served as President of the Bankruptcy Section of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and has served on the Civil Procedure Committee, the Legal Ethics Committee and the Administration of Justice Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
He is admitted to practice in all courts in Oklahoma, the Western, Northern and Eastern Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts of Oklahoma and the Northern and Eastern Federal Districts and Bankruptcy Courts of Texas. He is also admitted to the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Jim has served as President of the Edmond Public Schools Foundation and as President of the Downtown Oklahoma City Kiwanis Club. He is an active member of New Covenant United Methodist Church in Edmond where he serves on the Board of Trustees and on the Administration Board.
Jim has been married to his wife, Debbie, for 41 years. Debbie is a public school music teacher. They have three children and three grandchildren. Jim has served as a YMCA Youth Basketball Coach and as an assistant Boy Scout Leader. He has also worked with his youngest daughter and her passion of showing horses. She has won several world championships for which Jim claims partial credit. Jim enjoys mountain climbing with his son and climbed a 14,000 foot mountain in the Colorado Rockies at age 65.
Jason McCart was born and raised in Eastern Oklahoma near the community of Bald Hill. Jason is a 1997 graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and 2009 graduate of The University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Jason was admitted to practice in 2009 while an intern at the firm.
Mr. McCart's practice is in the area of commercial litigation and creditor's rights. Jason is admitted to practice in all courts in Oklahoma, all three federal courts in Oklahoma, and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Jason is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Chickasaw Nation Bar Association, the Cherokee Nation Bar Association, the Osage Nation Bar Association, and the Quapaw Tribal Bar Association. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America and is adjunct faculty of The University of Oklahoma College of Law's Legal Assistant Education Program.
Jason has been married to his wife, Brandye, who is a director of finance for American Fidelity Life Insurance since 2003. They have two children, daughter Morgan and son Matthew. Jason is an advocate for organ donors, organ donation, and children with special needs.
Lisa Russell Robertson graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was awarded her Juris Doctorate in 1995 from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Lisa started as a legal intern with the firm in 1994 and is now a Senior Associate Attorney in the firm.
Lisa's legal practice is primarily in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Creditors Rights, Collection Law and Bankruptcy Law. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Lisa is admitted to practice in all courts in Oklahoma, the Western, Northern and Eastern Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts of Oklahoma and the Northern District and Bankruptcy Courts in Texas. She is also admitted to the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Lisa is an active member of the community currently serving on the Board of Trustees for the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence and the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for Central Oklahoma.
Lisa is married to Bruce Robertson and they have three children.
